The Most Wonderful Word In The Bible

I believe the most wonderful word in the Bible is the word “Come.”

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jesus bids us who are unworthy of the privilege to come to Him. Faith in Him comes to Him. Receiving Him is coming to Him. Seeking Him is coming to Him. Wanting to be saved by Him is coming to Him. Coming to Him is forsaking our sin. He welcomes His saved ones back whenever they go astray. Those who always refuse that wonderful one-word invitation COME will one day hear three terrible words, “Depart From Me.”

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
